The Association for Real Estate Market Development (AREMD) is a non-profit civic association which has been found after one year unformal discussions on September 12, 2001. Its influence and extent of the developed activities is focused on general public. ARTN includes almost 70 experts in all fields of the real estate market including: investment, architecture, finance, consultancy, law and brokerage as well as those in public services and academic fields.
In its entirety the AREMD represents a group, unique in its universal competence in the real estate market and, in this sense, is without analogy in the Czech Republic.
Main goals of AREMD are formulated in 5 principal areas:
- Enhancing of the quality, stability and transparency of the Czech real estate market
- Standardisation of methods and processes in the Czech real estate market
- Increasing the knowledge of specialists and laymen in this field
- Promotion of the Czech real estate market at home and abroad
- Enhancing of the level and quality of education in field of real estate.
The AREMD activites consist of those for its members - mainly regular discussion sessions on actual topics of real estate market development, and those for public - the Association publishes the annual Trend Report, a special study reflecting the current condition of the Czech real estate market. The Trend Report summarises the main trends and perspectives of this significant economic sphere. AREMD regularly arranges round-table conferences attended by renowned experts and covered by media, its task is also to promote Czech real estate market at prestigious foreign events (MIPIM, MAPIC, Exporeal) and among similar foreign associations, the AREMD members give regular lectures (mostly at the School of Economics), and the Association cooperate with government agencies, etc.
ARTN has also the patronage of the competition Best of Realty Award. On this prestigious occasion gives the Association a special annual award - ARTN Award of Excellence for a significant contribution to the development of the Czech real estate market.
